Bloom North: Ikigai session 6 - Trust: The foundation of everything

Bloom North Ikigai sessions are a chance to use your lunch hour to fuel positive, meaningful growth. Each session gives you the chance to join the Bloom North community to explore, learn and connect together.

The content of the sessions is rooted in the need for all of us to cultivate a new set of skills in order to thrive in the fast-paced, connected, ever-changing modern world of work. Each session will involve a thought-provoking, educational talk followed by questions and discussion. There are 7 sessions – you can sign up for all 7 or select individual sessions.

Few of us work in isolation. Our performance at work depends on how well we work with other people. Trust is the essential foundation on which team performance, collaboration and creativity build. Without trust, you simply have a disconnected group of people who spend more cognitive energy wondering where they fit in the group than thinking about the task in hand. Trust allows your people to come together and be greater than the sum of their parts. Output: An understanding of the importance of group belonging plus techniques to build trust with others.
